It's a pretty simple choice. If you believe ZIP's price will drop below $1.56, then don't participate in the SPP. For instance, if you invest $30k and the price falls to $1.20, you'll be down $7k.
On the other hand, the SPP looks like a solid deal at today's price of $1.76. A full $30k allocation would get you 19,230 shares, with an unrealized gain of $4k based on the current price.I'll be participating.
