    Definitely needs to be some more shakiness in the real economy (ie rise in unemployment, fall in property prices, tighter global liquidity) for this sort of momentum to continue...

    And it would probably need to present itself before the end of FY2015 otherwise with cash rates drifting lower the hunt for yield will resume and end up making one last surge past the $100 mark.

    That said, a day like this will put the fear back into many risk adverse, yield chasing investors - who will now be on the back foot if the SP doesn't rebound quickly...

    Who knows, maybe a loss of confidence alone could begin the spiral...
