Don't forget interest rates are vey low in the USA and their economy is still flat. Also don't forget as interest rates get lower then some of the self-funded retirees convert to needing to be on the pension because the interest they are getting is getting less and less- more burden on the already stretched budget. It is a vicious cycle.
Not sure though how the discussion of CBA shares got o go to interest rates and employment levels?
Only thing I do know is that regardless of the interest rate the RBA sets- the banks set what they want these days- that never used to be the case.

As for the high unemployment rate- hhhmm I have had several very good jobs advertised lately and very very few applicants. The ones they did apply- well there was a reason they were unemployed. Not seeing the flow through to small business.
