One thing Thailand does have is a large refining capacity. The Thai government has really been pushing oil exploration because of Thailand's heavy reliance on imported oil. Thailand imported some 950,000 barrels per day of crude and yet its domestic production is 80,000 barrels per day of crude. The governments projections are that this deficit will grow further and they need to offer incentives for more exploration and development of local crude discoveries. CVN have stated their local knowledge, contacts and experience gives them great confidence in going forward into future Thai projects.
