Morning baz and icy,
I just think it would be good to hear the views from the holders who have bought 100's of millions of shares since the deal was announced - as opposed to the views of the nervous nellies and BATES (bitter and twisted ex. Shareholders). I do believe that people have a right to be concerned - but I see little actual thinking going on.
What is the saying - when everyone is thinking the same then no one is actually thinking.
A classic example of that for me is the closure of underground at tindals.
Every non shareholder mullet pips up and reads what is on the surface - who actually sits down and thinks about moves like that?
Clearly not many.
Same with this deal - all I see is fear/emotion and shock - and cries for information.
Well, I want information as well, but, I am prepared to wait for Dons views - this week I hope.
2 things I will say - I trust Don - I believe he is honest and honourable. I know he has our best interest at heart.
He is human and he may have bad judgement at some time - but I sure will give him the courtesy of waiting to see if I fully agree with this or think it is on the nose.
To those who hanker for information - several of us have been saying for years to actual shareholders - if you want to know something --- pick up the phone or visit.
If you want to know what the company wants to do - go to a meeting and meet Don and ask - it really is that simple.
And now, everyone wants to know what Don thinks and what his philosophy is - well, sorry, they should have found out years ago and instead of calling for just 'facts' - they should have been finding out what the chair and board.actually think about the business and where they wanted it to go.
The plan has always been for fml to be a giant - and the size of this deal comes as no surprise - what surprised me was that Don could swing this big a deal in such a crisis - like it or lump it - that's a he'll of an achievement.
Anyway - let's see what the week brings.
Have a great am. Pinto
Ps I have never sold except for the odd occasion to temporarily satisfy the tax dept. or similar.
I have and are just continuing to add - my av. Is in the 4's.
