Well I dunno if Bush's allies (combined) have spent as much on the war as the US taxpayers have....
And I really don't buy the argument that Bush has killed more people than Hitler, Mao or Stalin.
But the point about the Vietnam War is a good one. The inflation that arose during the Vietnam war due to the inflationary expansion of money supply with caused it, led directly into most of the economic problems of the 70's - persistent inflation, "stagflation" and THE WORSE DECADE FOR THE STOCKMARKET SINCE THE THIRTIES.
