last weekend 3 old houses went up for auction in the same street...........2 old brick houses built in the 1930's and used as rental props by the NSW RTA for the past 48 years ( they were held pending the NEW Freeway 1st proposed to be built....to be demolished for the new road, which was finally commenced and completed in 2007)
those houses were never updated or renovated and the third was a fibro built in the 1950's......
so the value was land value only.........
apparently there was a large crowd, and on average 5 bidders each prop....my sources each confirmed 2 houses were knocked down at about 165,000 and believed to have sold.........
on the agents website, they state 2 were sold, one for 185000-215000 the other fibro for 230000-270000, the last one is advertised for sale at 190,000
I am concerned at the variance in the final bids....and the stated sale prices.....huge difference.....what is the truth and how can we find out.........are the agents advertising a low ball price......ie the one for sale at 190,000, or are they lying about the actual sale price of the 2 sold.......
cheers
3 very interesting auction results
