the banks are doing it tough. increase interest rates above the reserve because things are so tough. Pay execs huge bonuses because things are so tough. Make record profits because things are so tough.
The sad thing is that they still haven't realized that it is their collective greed with their overseas compatriates that created the GFC in the first place.
The greatest example of the out of control capitalistic pendulum, yet rather than attempt to better manage the equilibrium they push it to squeeze the last drop of exhorbitant profit out and then smuggly look back and say what a good business we are.
