Thanks for the frank advice, which I will take onboard. But even if it ends up being a side project for me which ultimately gets shelved, I am quite keen to give it a try. The very least I'd like to see how those ideas perform on existing data, and different market conditions. I kind of always wanted to test them; or may be its just my inner programmer fighting the inner gambler.
