    it means we live in a society based on capital - yes although its basically socialistie government in power in all of Aus, its still a capitalist system. capitalism drives everything and captilism demands profits. when inflation is 1000% lets say, capital must follow, it's not going to stay the same value. cash will stay at the same value, but because of this system built on capital that we are in, capital (in this case stocks) are also going to go up commensurate with the inflation. i cannot see this any other way...


    yes inflation is a good thing and it is a bad thing. it depends on who you are, the context, your investments, etc. inflation is terrible for cash holders and great for debt holders, and great for owners of capital.

    tell me precisely waht you mean by tight labour market? everyone has work that wants it. or are you talking about employers cant get the staff?
