Sorry, that is the province of the few hardline communist countries that still exist and my guess is that like myself most Australians would prefer that not to be the case. Intolerant communist regimes or right wing dictatorships that impinge on our freedoms not our cup of tea.
Freedom of religion along with other freedoms is one of the hallmarks of our great democracy. I think there will be greater issues over the next 500 years that you cite, other than the impact of religion on society. The sustainability of our planet is probably the most long term significant consideration.
LOL, I wont be around in 500 years but my spirit will look on with great interest and anticipation that each generation will evolve and deal with the issues they face ,appropriately. How exciting if by then there may be people residing elsewhere in outer space given the infinite universe that is there to be yet explored. Even more exciting and possibly fearful to some is the prospect of other life forms becoming evident.
