I think what has happened here is that everyone sold out of Biotron during some tax loss selling over the past few years. Now, there is huge demand as the results are awaited. The not price-sensitive announcement does indicate a surety of data release in the next few weeks. You will not be able to buy your shares post-release so makes sense to get them now.
