In case anyone is intending on contacting our recent author, I've already reached out. On a second reading of her paper, I see that she may well be aware of Biotron;s more recent work considering here statement, "Currently, there are virus-directed inhibitors intended to block the IC activity of the E protein SARS-CoV-2 with encouraging results from in vitro assays [32,43,44]."
Maybe she considered it prudent not to quote the more recent studies, or at least, obtained enough relevance from the work she did quote.
