    Just saw a short segment on the latest COVID variant.

    Basically, the new variant has had over 30 mutations - which is why it has seen infections rise.

    Gathering over the Christmas/New Year period have compounded the spread.

    Vaccinations have cut infected people developing "Long COVID" - but some people are tuned to get it anyway - 1-2%.

    Seems to be a delay in developing the next vaccination due to the number of mutations in the latest version.
