    No, the accounts clearly show expenditure on research over six months. Those costs are on going. "fully funded" is juut that they have funds available to cover the research.

    Direct research and development expenses (2,198,443)

    Trials are not paid up in front - any more than you would pay a builder up front to build a house. There would be milestones where payments are given out.
