Your thoughtful post has demonstrated the dangers of social media and its powerful influence on the decisions government makes on extremely important policies, just by swamping them with some emotional, yet flawed beliefs. For example, the removal of fossil fuel power stations and replacing them with solar panels and windmills. Now that the general populace is starting to wake up out of their stupor and realising that it may have been a bad idea after all, we now see the exact same thing emerging again with their latest thought bubble, nuclear energy, with statements like, “ we have plenty of uranium here in Australia, it’s a no brainer!”, (as if all you have to do is shovel uranium in the furnace instead of coal), with supporting arguments like, “there is NO EMISSIONS!”, when in reality it “emits” for tens of thousands of years, not to mention the unbelievable expense of building one in the first place.
As Gina Rinehart rightfully said, “the best thing you can do with coal is to burn it”.
