Correct.. it shuts down the ion channels in the virus membrane (E protein) making the virus unable to replicate. As you say the E protein is fairly stable so that is why BIT225 works on all COVID strains as well as other Coronavirus’. (Sorry to butt in BMD, you probably know more about it than me anyway, so you can correct me if I have got it wrong.)
