Sorry bulljack, but as noted in the other thread.... John Howard is mostly responsible for any negatives to come out of this.
He introduced the medical surcharge levy stick to force young & healthy people to go private so they could subsidise older people.
I dont want or need private health cover however I will be charged the medical surcharge levy and will be charged a few extra % on private health fees for every year (over 30 yrs of age) I am not with one.
