We are not stuck with WD at all ! This long term relationship you mention can be ended (without cause) with only 30 days notice. So it is not particularly binding. The company will be sold to the best overall offer and in the best interests of shareholders. With any luck there will be more than one party interested which could lead to a bidding war, which would likely be in the best financial interests of shareholders.
