The hardware industry has changed a lot and the quality at Bunnings is crap. I have family members that owned larger and better run hardware stores than Bunnings.
My family once owned the largest hardware store in Australia, it turned over $300 million a year. It was purchased by Masters who then went broke.
I had a conservation with builders about masters, who expressed they dont keep the right stock to meet customer needs accordingly . Masters tried to start too big instead of starting slowly and building up. Those are the only two mistakes masters made.
It appears that Bunnings is cutting quality to keep up profit margins and the customers are starting to notice.
