Some people who were sacked for minor things were long termers who would have been entitle to good redundancy payouts.
They were not sacked for poor performance and they were not bad employees or deadwood , these were quality people including difficult to find trades people.
This mob were just reducing the cost of retrenching people as the down turn starts to bite.
