Never labelled Priceline in a $2.00 Shop Category just lower level position. The heavyweight majors have already established their brands and pedigree over many years in the consumers mind and could sell their range at the local milk-bar without undermining their respected images.
POH are the new boy/girl on the block and have not established a clear position -that is where I see confusion in the perceived mindset by untapped consumers.
Having said that, Priceline is backed by 330 stores and was the largest ranked growing franchisee network in 2010, the decision is set and this network may surprise -its simply not the accepted marketing path adopted to establish a product position.
POH are new to this market and believe me I want the best outcome for POH, I simply give my opinion - useful or not as a concerned shareholder.
