So, if the FRE app uses your mbl ph number as caller id then your mates get to ring you back at mbl phone call rates? I think having a normal national 0X-XXXXXXXX is a better deal when your mates want to call you, much cheaper than calling a mbl phone. I wonder if FRE get a commission back from Telstra, Optus, etc? LOL!
If the FRE app is truly useful as a Wifi/3G VOIP phone then people should be able to call you back on your 0X-XXXXXXXX number for the cost of a local call. Obviously it is really only useful over Wifi so people would get an answer message if they ring it when you are out of Wifi range?
Do FRE actually give you a 0X-XXXXXXXX DID number as well?
I will log on and DL the FRE app and have a proper look and give my my comparison between the MNF, ENG & Fring alternatives.
As for MNF & ENG adding the Mbl number as outgoing caller ID option, I will get back to you on this after I have asked the right people the right questions to see how easy it would be.
