    So now we know the reason for the delays.

    Apple wouldn't let them release the app with subscriptions and wanted them to use the in-app payment system (thereby giving apple 30% of $4.99).

    Management has decided to release the app now as free and sort out the issue with Apple, rather than delay the launch again.
