Because management didn't, when they started spruiking timelines for results.

Im guessing the spruiking of timelines was more about propping the price for the shabby raise, rather than any real expectation of results.
They aren't stupid, everything they do is calculated.


Now the raise is done, and the results are now "when they are ready" the share price has acted accordingly.

Throw a few old directors under the bus to show they mean business and are doing their best.
No skin off managements back. Sure there is a few grumpy shareholders, but business as usual for them.
