The 31 killed reported here are part of the cost of the Iraqi troops contributing and sacrificing to choking the life out of IS in Mosul. On a related subject - I think it is disgusting every time there are deaths somewhere due to terrorism - our Foreign Minster seems to rush to media in minutes with a statement re "no info yet re any Australians involved" - sort of implies our lives are worth more than those of other nations. The way I see it - we are in a Global war - there will be ongoing intermittent events causing Oz casualties - mostly minor compared to events like our road toll and Sydney shootings. These casualties are near negligible compared to those we endured in WWI and WWII.
