If it were me, I would be buying more time. I would do that by announcing that the chips have been delivered the day prior to the AGM such that the only discussion during would be based around nothing more than 'we have told you everything we know until we get to open the package and commence integration'. Alternatively, there are delays in fabrication because of some unforeseen manufacturing complexity that can't be explained which occurred in Phase IIXVV of the half-MEMS production run but it's easy to fix, another 4 months of production however because they have to source pixie dust to make it happen.

Optimistic than the first option will come to fruition.
