happy trading without a broker then, joenes, as you seem to have worked out an alternative (and esoteric) way to aquiring shares even though everyone else on the planet needs a broker to acquire shares.

A broker is an individual or party (brokerage firm : Commsec etc.) that arranges transactions between a buyer and a seller, and gets a commission (brokerage) when the deal is executed.
