Bsj - you're right , Brent cook did say that about large low grade deposits not being viable , and my co's will never mine on their properties .
This does not apply to Amx however...
One of the features of konks is that it has a high grade component of just under 3g/t for over 1 million ounces. Shallow , partly oxidised partly transitional ore . ... A likely starter pit that will allow for very very fast mine payback . This makes the lesser grade parts of the deposit also economically viable ( which are closer to 1.6g/t) and even the lesser grade hallow perhaps down to a 0.2g/t cut off ( heap leach ?)
Start adding in a few more close by shallow oxide deposit ( which they've found ) and you can also choose to blend the lower grade ore to bolster mining margins / lessen costs .
Make no mistake - very few co's have what Amx have .
Who ever it is buying all these millions of shares lately knows this , but also knows that a fund is clearing stock . So no need to push , just soak up the volume .
The seller will run out of shares soon enough.
