South Africa and Israel have had a similar amount of covid case,in SA there have been 94,000 deaths and in Israel there have been 8500 deaths ,so the cases in SA are more severe than Israel because of their high vaccination rate.
South Africa also has a much lower average age so the death rate is lower in younger populations.
