    Tanon, The aussie miners have been punished this year already I agree. Resources economic pessemism is largely factored in to current price but my thinking is that the ASX in a crash will see about 4800 as the bottom. A panic overshoot selling frenzy will see BHP $25-$30. Longer term I think it should see a sensible average $40-45 so I will use it as an opportunity if a crash happens.

    There are many doomsday scenarios such as an Ebola outbreak in China which could be a catalyst for something worse than a 4800 ASX crash but hey nobody wants to imagine such things and the economic disruption it would cause. More sensibly the living standards of the worlds poor and middle class will improve and that will take resources so long term our miners are in good shape as the AUD cools down to circa 70 US cents.
