Also something to add from the Government of Greenland's POV is that it would be in the best interests for them to support mining in general (not uranium of course) if they wish to be independent and not rely on Denmark. Most of their revenue comes from exporting fishing, so they should be looking at diversifying revenue streams, and what better way to do that than mining? Give new mining companies permits to construct mines in Greenland, collect royalties from the profits the mines generate, Greenlanders get well-paid mining jobs, more money flows to the government in a form of tax, done. It's a win-win.
