    These pay packets are huge because there is an assumption that company performance is tied directly to the performance of the sitting CEO. This is partially true to a point but not to the extent where remuneration of this level can be justified IMO. Its all the individuals below the CEO that re doing the heavy lifting but receive the least reward.
