I had a quick read of the post you refer to.
IMHO stating that 'the CEO said' is not a valid reason to invest in any company.
Next time the CEO 'says' anything I suggest that you ask for the hard facts. Also, attend an AGM with some prepared questions. egs Cash burn rate. Timeframes for another capital raising, Drilling results, Conversion Resources to Reserves, Environmental Impact Studies, Permits etc. An open and competent management would have all this information readily available ie in their head.
As for Australia becoming the world's leading(UG derived) oil exporter, that makes as much sense as LBY/Richard Branson.
A fact is that deep UG coal is nothing special. The world contaains vast quantities of such coal, the largest probably being in North America.
