I was referring more to better for the country than the individual, though as most people live in capital or regional cities their petrol savings are significant. If a person now spending $100 a week on petrol can reduce that to $50 a week that is a saving of $2,500 a year or $25,000 over ten years so they are well in front. Also the batteries are likely to get both better and cheaper through new technolog and mass production. Dave R.
