I'd expect they would test from the bottom up, perf first interval characterize it by doing a stepped rate production test shut in and carry out a build up well test, plug it off and move up to the next. That way you get 1. maximum drawdown on each interval and can see where any sand is coming from, how the perfs worked, precise fluid samples rather than mixed all of which will influence your later field design. 2. Full inflow curves again helping that future completion design 3. Interpreted build ups on each interval which will tell you how things look further out into the formation (perm, completion efficiency and volumes and/or flow barriers (as far as you investigate which is a function of time).
