After reading further I tend to believe you that the US will soon be bankrupt. It is stated in another article that I've just read that the US are only 95 billion from hitting their debt ceiling. After that a default will take place unless they raise the ceiling.

95 billion will be spent within 1 week or even a few days if they spend the same amount that they spent in March.

From this article below published yesterday:-As of Friday, the government's debt remained just $95 billion below the ceiling.
