ahhhh - people getting too soft these days. what happened to the good old days, with the sweat pouring off the bodies, and opening up the classroom windows waiting for the sea breeze to offer a bit of comfort - the days of going to school barefoot, and coping with the hot playground, while having to learn the PRIDE OF ERIN - and whatever other dance, that we had to learn.
at least after school, we could race down to the filthy river at ascot to cool down - where the water was muddy, and where the horse trainers would swim their horses - but at least we could do great bombies from the diving board...none of this heated/chlorinated water rubbish of the council swimming pools - and for the sooks, the pools have to be covered as well - .
no doubt the greenie voters will love to switch on their fossil fueled/powered air conditioners, and forget about the greenhouse gas emissions - after all being a softy is more important than the future of the planet - not that fossil fuels are the problem
