Hi all,
NEA starting high altitude with 3D/obliques is great news. 3D, or lack of it, was a key weakness for NEA. They originally went for this but backed off (due to data management complexity and cost?) until they got their 2D product working through commercial verticals. So its good to see it back up there and I cant wait to see the product which will (hopefully) be able to at least equal or better the existing 3D of US competitor, Pictometry.
None of us really know anything about the Spookfish technology...yet. But it sounds as if they are both chasing pretty much the same thing...high aerial, fast platform, high res 3D. Maybe the outcome from last December's IP court challenge was...just go for it! and now we have it. NEA starting to fly it "in the first half of FY 16" (ie this half) and SFI looking at commercial flights sometime in 2016. SFI threw down the challenge...looks like NEA has no problem picking it up and swatting back.
Re Morgans...
You lot should, by now, know better than to believe everything you hear from the broking community!
Whilst panic buttons were being prematurely pressed on this forum, someone through Morgans not so quietly stepped in and bought 1.1m last Friday. Lol!
Cheers
