Maddog , I have been looking at the USA opportunities and challenges.IMO the real competition is the timber house market. For conventional housing , this seems the real opportunity.
I think we can now put to bed one myth , you can not build code compliant single leaf concrete block structures., they are everywhere , especially in Florida.
IMO single leaf large concrete blocks is the optimum application of hadrian 110 ,up to 3 story.Would love to see a demo .
Re the concrete block challenge to timber in USA ,especially outside of southern Florida. Will post a link later as an example.
Timber builds at present are cheaper and faster to build.
Concrete block construction is slower and more costly due to material , labour and transport costs.
Maintenance and insurance costs are higher for timber builds.
IMO after establishing a Florida beach head , it will all be about storming the match stick builds .
I think the key is a WaaS alliance with DR Horton , who build large scale affordable housing communities , to sell or rent. .Apparently even pension funds are investing in housing to then rent out .
Liebherr will need to manufacture hadrians at a commercially attractive cost , re returns ie DR Horton can provide the scale required for commercial application of hadrian 110.
A blockmaker ,maybe BKW , extra large 45kg , obviously need to be finished to tolerance. With scale the material costs should be able to compete with timber.
