I have written to Laurent Fossaert several times on this very subject, and sent him numerous press accounts of how far 3D printing of polymers and biological agents has progressed in recent years.
The answer to your question is yes, PolyNovo's polymers are perfectly capable of being used in this way.
The possibility of designing and then printing a 3D polymer structure with properties of strength, resorbtion time, density, pore size, pore orientation, etc. varying in all three dimensions of a single product is known to management if by nothing more than my communication to them. But I don't fancy myself to be the only messenger carrying this news.
What I think is this: the possibility is there, it is understood, and it is an area where the company may go in the future - and may be already be going behind the scenes. But the near-term products can be manufactured using cheaper methods and this particular application might have to wait until the company is flush with funds.
Still, the idea is a compelling one, is it not?
