Spot on - the defence capabilities of the USA and existing relationships with key primes caught up in red tape and rendered impotent? The Trump administration’s rhetoric and actions suggest they’re not about to let red tape choke out priority programs like missile defense or hypersonics, especially with China’s tests and Russia’s Ukraine quagmire keeping tensions high. It appears that Trump’s team has already carved out exemptions for missile defense and supply chain re-shoring—exactly Amaero’s wheelhouse. Plus, the primes are under pressure to “accelerate demonstrable progress,” which may catalyse workarounds. Think emergency funds, reprogramming existing budgets, or even EXIM Bank sweeteners beyond Amaero’s loan. The administration’s got a vested interest in touting domestic wins and building capability.

Not saying that "will" happen but at these prices happy to be pleasantly surprised to the upside. In any case, it does seem that we are talking timing and if that is the core issue, then you would sooner is better for the US military.
