Care to elaborate further?

I just came across this share after watching an excellent Cathy Woods interview on CNBC, which made me realise I've not revusited 3D printing since the previous in vogue time.

She made some excellent points:

* Most 3D printing companies have been crushed in value.
* Previously 3D printing was aimed at the consumer but now the manufacturer will get onboard. Regulations have improved too.
* Due to the economic adversity companies will need to innovate and she outlined dramatic margins can be saved by airliners and car manufacturers. I see there is a mystery car manufacturer on the books too.
* Couple of nuggets I like - 98% of ear hearing aids are 3D printed. Also old classic cars are being rejuvated because car parts were hard to come by and can now be printed. Pretty amazing.

Are there any pertinent nuggets of news or articles anyone can point me towards, whilst I get up to speed?

Sectors can move pace so very quickly. You only have to look at Cyber the past few weeks. 3D will have its day that I am sure of.
