as I understand things the major difference is 3dp hosts lidar point clouds that are geospatially correct. nearmap hosts digital photographs that are essentially 2d but could be rendered as 3d but won't be anywhere near as accurate as a Lidar point cloud. photographs can be used by anybody. Lidar point clouds are used by a few people.
