Hi Leverage et al.,

No one gets the entry exactly right on medium term (3-5 yrs) developing tech plays like 3DP. I've been 'stalking this one for about 4 years and only started to buy earlier this year. I spend quite a bit of time modeling and talking to management and customers before I can feel comfortable that the product, commercialisation plan and market acceptance have achieved/ticked certain milestones. I then put (very subjectively) the coy through prospective price and risk senarios which help determine the size 'bat' that'll suit the rest of my portfolio.

Bottom line is that I'm looking at acquiring up to 1.5% of this coy should it continue to meet/exceed my modelling and expectations. For most of my tech investments, this generally takes between 6-15 months to get set for the ensuing 2-4 year investment horizon. After the last placement (and about 20 other on-market buys spread out over the past 8 months), I'm at about 1% and anticipate that the next 0.5% will come at a reasonable premium from today's prices...but thats OK.

I take my hat off to anyone that can pick the singular best price on a 3-5yr investment.

I call them 'lucky' or 'liar' but never 'clever'.

This investment will take several years to unfold....just like NEA. You need patience if you want to get the most benefit from these types of stocks.
