Who knows what they are up to. I think the market largely ignores the shenanigans in Indonesia, to be honest. Don’t get your hopes up “too much” that this will supercharge LEG and other explorers/producers of nickel.

In any event, I bet that New Caledonia is ready (and willing, knowing the French) to step in where Indonesia are preparing to (apparently, it seems) stepping out.

Further, both Indo and New Cal are laterite deposits, feeding the stainless steel market. LEG is chasing sulphides. Which has a niche market supplying the under-siege lithium battery market.
