Maybe it will but if stronger than expected employment and GDP numbers both coming out on the same day couldn't break golds run and the FOMC out of the way, there seems to be less risk of 1300 breaking, opening up a try at 1350.
I don't think there is anything strange with the stocks that are down. Those have all had widespread down grades (at least the ones I watch). MML is an exception to that (no downgrades) and it was down quite a bit early as well but it's recovering rapidly now. AQG has been downgraded (today) and its down 8% still.
These downgrades on most producers just make me more bullish on gold itself and therefore more bullish on high margin producers. RRL now up 0.85% and NCM now up further at 1.7%.
