The asx gross short sales report issued today, for yesterday 17 May, only shows 285k gross shorts.
Either the report is wrong or the shorts took a breather.
Shortman (delayed time) does not show shorts increasing much, think shorts short in the morning and cover in the afternoon.
Playing it safe (in and out quick) to avoid a big short squeeze.
