If I'm reading the Dart web site correctly, I'd be happy to drink the water Dart is 'Dumping'. In fact, it looks like on balance it will 'lift' the quality of the water in the river by most of the dominant measures.
If I had the choice of drinking collected rain water near a coal fired power station and water from Dart's operations, I'f take Dart's any day.
Maybe Dart staff should make a point if drinking the water at the community gatherings.
Btw... Runoff from street gutters would be a much worst contributor to river water quality. Maybe the protestors should lobby to block all of the street gutters to protect the river!!
