With gene- editing technology this is possible.They can grow eyes all over flys. Wings on pigs is now child's play.Research institutes just don't want to be frivolous and lose their funding.
But the real reason is that pig crap raining down would make life too hazardous.
Also,the loss of the "pig flying" repartee would be tragic.
